Hair loss can take many forms and create many different challenges, but Oliveen has specialist experience in dealing with the requirements of countless different clients. As she explains: “In my years as a hairdresser I have seen many forms of hair loss, including male pattern baldness and all forms of alopecia. The most common in females is frontal alopecia, where the hairline recedes back. However, I have worked successfully with each of these and I am confident in saying I have found solutions to the challenges of each kind of hair loss. A large range of hairpieces can be integrated with people’s existing hair, and cut to match their current style.”

In the case of alopecia, for example, which Oliveen has worked with in clients as young as five years old, a hair piece is needed which meets the demands of a busy everyday life, and which they can wear to work, to play sport, and to socialise, all with the confidence that the piece will not move. “A fit that is snug and secure, as well as a breathable base is of the utmost importance to me, and I am happy to say that I have been able to provide this for many clients,” says Oliveen. Custom pieces can be designed to ensure the piece is tailor-made to their needs.

As well as this, Oliveen in the last few years has had an increase in clients seeking solutions for hair-loss caused by cancer treatment. For this purpose, she has sourced high quality, ready to wear human and synthetic hair wigs in a wide range of styles and colours, to help people to continue to feel like themselves while they undergo their treatment.

In 2016 Oliveen acquired a beautiful 3-storey Victorian building which was built circa 1874, and carried out extensive renovations.

The building now features a dedicated wig consultation area and wig styling floor, separate to the main hairdressing salon on the first floor. These areas have private off-street car parking and access from the rear of the building for the provision of total privacy and discretion. On the top floor we provide a VIP salon for when your treatment is over and you wish to have your hair cut, coloured, styled and ready for the new you. We use only Organic hair colours and hair products, and on this day we can provide refreshments of your choice. We are happy to chat through these options and any specific needs that you may have.

I’m happy to say that I now have found a premises to match my dream of providing not only the product, but the service, with luxury to sit in a salon and know that there is complete discretion, comfort and privacy. I can also wash, cut, colour, style and blow-dry on a one-to-one basis. In our new Hair Replacement salon, I am happy that my clients can now have their weekly wash and blow dry at any time of the day just as they did before their stress of losing hair when they needed an after-hours appointment.”
